Ben is an experienced entrepreneur who started Tapjoy and Karma Science before founding Limbix. Ben has also worked as an Engineering Manager, Engineer, or Product Manager at Google, Microsoft, and Facebook. He has a B.S.E. in Computer Engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He is married with three children and claims to have a killer game of disc golf.
Jon is a technology entrepreneur and co-founder of Limbix, where he leads company operations. Jon has over a decade of experience leading high growth business teams at venture backed startups, including Medallia (IPO 2019) and Motive. Jon has a BA in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis, and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. His hobbies include golf, travel, basketball, scrabble, and spending time with family.
Judy is the CTO at Limbix. Previously she worked as an engineer at Oculus, Facebook, Karma Science, Tripit, Microsoft, and Palm. Judy has a BS in computer science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She loves photography and cooking.
Dr. Benny Alouf is a board certified Pediatrician and the Chief Medical Officer at Limbix. Dr. Alouf has over two decades of experience in oversight and execution of clinical programs and policies both in direct patient care as well as in the managed care environment. He has held leadership positions in large hospital organizations and health plans bringing together varied internal and external stakeholders in order to lead change and improve value in health care delivery. He has held faculty positions at prominent academic institutions and completed a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management. Before joining Limbix, he served as the Chief Medical Officer at Aetna Better Health of Pennsylvania.
As Chief Science Officer at Limbix, Jessica's work is focused on overseeing scientific strategy and data-driven insights to inform product development. She is passionate about using evidence-based approaches to improve mental health care. Jessica received her PhD in Psychology & Neuroscience from Duke University and a B.S. in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University. Prior to joining Limbix, Jessica completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UCLA in translational psychological research. Her favorite things are putting food into her face, finding new music to listen to, and talking about learning to play the accordion.
Aarthi is Chief Research Officer at Limbix with a B.S. in Cognitive Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. Aarthi completed two post doctoral fellowships before working as a Scientific Research Director in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford. She loves the ocean, travel, and animals.
Elise (she/her/hers) received her BA and MA from Stanford University, where she researched the psychological and behavioral effects of immersive technology. She moved from research into content creation and design at Stanford's Virtual Human Interaction Lab, where she led the development of virtual, educational experiences to increase pro-social attitudes and behaviors. She co-directed three official selections at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017 and 2018. Outside of Limbix, Elise co-chairs the Digital Therapeutic Alliance's Patient Engagement Task Group, and serves on the Board of Directors of a non-profit organization created to provide mental health workshops to teens in need. She also runs a youth field hockey club program, coaching young women ages 8-21. She is the proud dog mom of a rescue named Blue.
Cam is our Director of Business Development. Cam brings over a decade of sales experience creating engaging and impactful experiences for customers. Cam’s role also includes identifying, cultivating, and establishing meaningful partnerships that will create access to Limbix product portfolio. Cam has a BA from Caldwell University in English Literature and graduated from Pepperdine Graziado School of Business, where he received his Executive MBA. Outside of Limbix, Cam and his wife Auria enjoy traveling, hiking, and being foodies!
Daniella is a Clinical Research Scientist at Limbix. She received her PhD in Psychology from Stanford University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Neuroscience at UC Berkeley. Her previous research has focused on the biological underpinnings of depression as well as variation in cognitive responses to neuromodulatory drugs. Outside of Limbix, she enjoys a good mystery and a good house plant.
Jake is the Director of Commercialization Strategy at Limbix. Prior to Limbix, he led external partnership sourcing at the Boston Children's Innovation & Digital Health Accelerator and worked as a life sciences strategy consultant at Clarion Healthcare. Jake received a BBA in Management from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, listening to music, camping, and cooking.
Josh is a software engineer at Limbix. He holds a BS and MS in computer science from Vanderbilt University, with coursework and research focusing on virtual reality. Outside of work, Josh is an avid ice hockey fan and a wildly unsuccessful singer, songwriter, and guitarist.
Kayla Bassett (she/her/hers) is the Director of Product Management at Limbix. Previously, she built data products to accelerate clinical research at Truveta, improved COVID response with machine learning at DataRobot, and tackled scam advertisements at Facebook. Prior to her career in tech, Kayla was a Marine Corps intelligence officer and served in a variety of posts around the world. She co-founded a non-profit dedicated to improving mental health among veterans through peer support. She received her BE from Vanderbilt University in Biomedical Engineering and her MS from Carnegie Mellon University in Information Technology. Kayla is married with two kids. In her spare time, she can be found cycling, trying new donut and coffee shops in Portland, and engendering in her kids a love of the outdoors through hiking and skiing.
Lawrence is our Director of Marketing. His experience stretches from government organizations, research institutions, and marketing agencies, with stints at the US Forest Service, Colorado State University's Translational Medicine Institution, and Samba Scientific. Lawrence is passionate about connecting individuals with scientific solutions to improve quality of life. He received his BA in Journalism and Communication from Colorado State University. He's an avid outdoorsman, loves spending time with family, and eats way too many snacks.
Shana is a director of research with training in cognitive neuroscience. She earned her Ph.D. from Duke University and completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University, where she focused on adult and child mental health. She loves her family, a good deviled egg, and has unrealistic plans to own a bunch of chickens and goats.
Brianna is the Associate Director of Quality Affairs at Limbix. Prior to joining Limbix, Brianna worked in the animal health industry as a quality manager, regulatory affairs manager, and chemist. She received her MS in Biotechnology, Regulatory Affairs and MBA from University of Maryland University College. Outside of work she is an advocate for epilepsy awareness. She also enjoys true crime shows, prematurely decorating for Christmas, and watching her kids play sports.
Dr. Claudia Avina received her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno. She has over a decade of experience providing evidence-based care to children and adolescents suffering from a range of psychological disorders. She has also served as Project Director of various clinical research trials conducted in academic and medical settings. She has previous held faculty positions at academic institutions where she was involved in the clinical supervision and training of clinical providers within multidisciplinary teams. She enjoys vacationing anywhere tropical, going out
to eat, and watching home interior shows.
Jessica is a clinical psychologist and developmental social neuroscientist, with an emphasis on the adolescent time-period. She received her PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Oregon, completed her clinical psychology residency at University of Washington School of Medicine working at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and completed her post doctoral fellowship at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She enjoys hikes with her dogs, going to the beach, and trying new creative endeavors, like woodworking, guitar, and ukulele.
Adriana is a product manager at Limbix. Her journey in digital health began at Joyable, where she was a health coach and trainer, and continued at Cricket Health, where she built accessible products for people with chronic kidney disease. She graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Psychology and Anthropology. She's an avid reader, home cook, and lover of the arts, cats, and cities.
Alexa (she/hers) is a Quality Systems Analyst at Limbix. She attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her BA in Psychology. Alexa has over 6 years of experience working in computer systems validation within the clinical trials industry. Outside of Limbix, Alexa enjoys rock climbing at her local climbing gym, trying new restaurants, yoga, and perfecting her reaction to the many Amazon Alexa jokes made about her name.
Alina is a software engineer at Limbix and is based out of Texas. She graduated with a BS in Computer Science from Duke University and worked at Google Cloud supporting customers before joining Limbix. Outside of Limbix, Alina loves spending time in coffee shops, taking long walks, being with friends and family, and baking sweet treats.
Amanda is an associate product manager at Limbix. She received her BS from Duke University, where she studied Computer Science and Psychology. Before joining Limbix, she worked as a product manager at IBM, and she promoted the use of VR for mental and physical health at the Duke recreation center. Outside of Limbix, Amanda loves being active, going to the beach, playing sports, spending time with friends and family, and indulging her sweet tooth.
Anthony (he/him) is a product designer at Limbix where he focuses on evangelizing and supporting design culture, and distilling complex problems into intuitive product experiences that make our users' lives better. He received a BA in Japanese Language from San Francisco State University, and an MFA in Design from the Tokyo University of the Arts with an emphasis in moving and still image design. Outside of work Anthony is a husband, father, artist, photographer, tinkerer and home electrification / renewable energy enthusiast.
Brodie is a software engineer at Limbix and is based out of Minneapolis, MN. He graduated with a BA in Computer Science from St. Olaf College and worked as a software engineer at UnitedHealth Group/Optum prior to joining Limbix. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, camping & hiking, swimming, playing the cello and DIY home improvement projects.
Charlie (he/his) is a Data Analyst at Limbix. He is passionate about the process of turning raw data into actionable insights & building ecosystems that empower data informed decision making. Charlie has spent time in the pharmaceutical, cloud-computing and most recently, insurtech space. He received his MBA & BBA (Finance) from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. Outside of work, he enjoys the great outdoors & nature, running, fishing, fantasy sports, good coffee, meditating & spending time with his family.
Chloe is a Quality Systems Engineer at Limbix. She attended Georgia State University where she studied computer science with a concentration on database systems. Prior to starting at Limbix, her work involved developing virtual reality experiences tailor made to train employees' hard and soft skills for various companies and organizations. Outside of work, Chloe enjoys playing video games, such as Valorant and Overwatch, and making music in FL Studio.
Dani (she/her/hers) is a Content Design Intern at Limbix. She is currently a fourth year Psychology Major at UC Davis, where she is also minoring in both Education and Human Development. In addition, she is a defender/midfielder on the UC Davis Women’s Field Hockey team and the founder of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Student Athlete Resource Group at UC Davis. Outside of Limbix and school life, Dani enjoys cooking and thrifting, and hopes to travel more after graduating this year!
Diagét is a clinical research coordinator at Limbix. She attended Georgia State University where she received her B.S. in Neuroscience. Prior to joining Limbix, Diagét worked within various therapeutic areas on pulmonary, psychiatry, and ophthalmology studies. Diagét strives to be of service to those that need it most. Outside of Limbix she enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and spending time at the beach in the islands.
Edesa (she/hers) is a graduate of Towson University. She received a Bachelors degree in Business with a concentration in Human Resources Management. Edesa is an experienced Human Resources professional with over 15 years of experience. Her industry experience includes Consumer Banking, Government Research, Insurance, Media/Publishing, Legal Services, Higher Education and Social Services.
Emily (she/her) is the Manager of Instructional Design & Learning at Limbix and she's committed to making mental health resources and education available to all audiences. She earned her M.S. in Chemical Engineering and B.S. in Bioengineering at Montana State University. She has experience as a collegiate educator, biomedical engineer, and science marketer. Along with hiking, backing, and skiing, she enjoys untangling her newfoundland, Tippet, from fishing lines.
Emily is a Research Project Manager at Limbix. She received her B.A. in Psychology and Cognitive Science from the University of Virginia, and she is pursuing an M.S. in Clinical Psychology. Her previous research experiences include understanding and treating anxiety using easily-accessible, evidence-based interventions. Outside of Limbix, Emily enjoys trail running in the woods with her dog, practicing yoga, and testing out new recipes on her friends and family.
Gabriella is a Visual Designer at Limbix. She graduated with an AA and BFA in Graphic Design with a passion for design and technology. She has worked for several women’s wellness companies and is an advocate for mental health awareness. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, singing and dissecting restaurant menu designs.
Ian received his BA in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University and has previously conducted research exploring mobile phones, virtual reality and other screen media in health and human development. Prior to joining Limbix, Ian researched applications of virtual reality to facilitate communication and daily life skills with autistic individuals. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and camping, cooking for friends and family, and the occasional round of golf.
Joe (he/his) is a software engineer at Limbix and is based out of Denver, CO. He graduated with a BS in Computer Science from Marquette University and worked as a software engineer at Xero and Slalom prior to joining Limbix. Outside of work, he enjoys training in mixed martial arts, camping & hiking, live comedy, and playing the violin.
Josh is our Senior UX Researcher living in the beautiful (and cold) city of Minneapolis, MN. An empath and an extravert, Josh strives to bring the user's voice to all components of the experience by talking directly with adolescents, guardians, and providers about their needs, wants, and struggles. Outside of work, Josh enjoys playing video games with his husband, as well as spending every minute bugging his two cats.
Kaelah is a Clinical Research Specialist at Limbix. She received her BS in Psychology from Duke University. Her previous experience involves social and developmental research with young children and adolescents. Outside of Limbix, Kaelah enjoys watching SNL, drinking root beer, and playing board games with friends.
Katie is a content designer at Limbix committed to creating inclusive design solutions that reduce societal barriers and stigma experienced by those living with mental illness, chronic illness, and disability. She previously worked in elementary school classrooms, adapting curriculum to accommodate students with disabilities, and studied psychology and human development at the University of California, San Diego. Her home is a constant rotation of foster animals and paint colors.
Lauren (she/her) is a Science Intern at Limbix. She is currently a fourth year biochemistry major at UCLA, minoring in biomedical research with a background in founding mental health advocate programs. Outside of work and academics, she loves screenwriting as her dream is to direct her own film. She also enjoys composing music, baking all the pies in the world, and playing volleyball.
Lauren received her BS in Psychology and previously worked in research focused on visual supports and their ability to help facilitate the daily lives of adults with developmental disabilities. Outside of Limbix, Lauren loves spending time in the sun, traveling, and being around her close family and friends.
Matt is a Marketing Content Writer on the Limbix team. He is passionate about using his skillset to tell stories and be an advocate for mental health awareness. Matt graduated with his BS in Marketing from St. Louis University and has a variety of experience, from working in fast-paced start-up environments with YouTubers and nutritionists, to working in traditional B2B industries. He loves spending time with his family/friends, enjoys going to the gym, and is a big fan of Star Wars, Marvel, and anything remotely nerdy.
Melanie is a product manager at Limbix. She received her BS from Duke University, where she studied Computer Science and Psychology. Before joining Limbix, she worked as a software engineer at Google and LinkedIn, and conducted research in behavioral economics at the Duke USDA-BECR center. Outside of Limbix, Mel loves to ski, play tennis, bike around the hilly streets of San Francisco, and photography.
Mike is a clinical psychologist with years of experience providing evidenced-based treatments to clients with a broad spectrum of mental health concerns. He received his B.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University and his M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University. Mike is an avid coffee drinker and enjoys going to the gym and spending time with friends and family. He is also a huge Dodger fan.
Olivia (she/her) is a Quality Systems Analyst here at Limbix. She received her B.S. in Computational Media at Georgia Tech and has filled her resume with a variety of experiences, including living and working in the Dominican Republic, Sweden, and even Walt Disney World, as well as a number of other jobs working with people and technology. This exposure to various cultures, demographics, etc. has ignited a passion for making the world more accessible and more empathic, especially surrounding mental health understanding and resources. Outside of Limbix, she loves learning about child psychology, cuddling with her dog Ruby, and fangirling over all of her favorite topics.
Paige is a Quality Systems engineer at Limbix living in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Georgia Tech with a BS in Computational Media. Her previous experience includes developing VR hard skills training programs and video games. In her free time, she's making a game with her friends about a boy who fights monsters with a mop!
Pam is a product designer at Limbix, where she focuses on improving the human experience using her multidisciplinary design expertise. She believes that creating positive emotional experiences for people is a team effort and she values transparency and collaboration in her work style. Pam holds a B.A. in Environmental Design and Architecture from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her work experience spans various industries, which have shaped her to tackle ambiguous problems with an analytical and resilient mindset. She also mentors individuals and small businesses to unlock their potential and create a strategic advantage for long-term success. Nature is her muse; she loves hiking in evergreen forests and also enjoys meditation, poetry, nonfiction books, and improvisational cooking.
Phoebe is a Clinical Research Coordinator at Limbix. She graduated from Stanford with a B.A. in Psychology. Her previous research experience involves assisting intensive sleep studies at Brigham and Women’s hospital and looking into the mind and body interaction at Stanford. She enjoys running, road biking, having picnics with friends and going back to the UK to see family!
Sheryl is a Senior Clinical Research Administrator at Limbix. She received a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center and a BA in History from the University of Houston. Sheryl has 18+ years experience in research in the areas of behavioral science and clinical drug trials, mostly concentrating on the pediatric population. She enjoys nature walks, science fiction movies, and drinking ice cold Dr. Pepper.
Sneha (she/hers) is a licensed social worker and specializes in working with children and adolescents. Sneha earned her bachelors in Psychology from the University of Illinois- Urbana Champaign and her masters in social work from the University of Michigan Ann-Arbor. Sneha has years of experience providing mental health and therapy services in residential, hospital and school settings. In her free time, Sneha enjoys hanging out with friends, trying out new workout classes and going back to her hometown of Chicago.
Tina is a principal software engineer at Limbix. Previously, she built technology to promote driver safety in at Samsara and interned at Headspace, Google, and Apple. She graduated from MIT with a B.S. and M.Eng in Computer Science. Tina channeled her passions for education technology and accessibility into her thesis in which she created a conversational interface for kids with visual impairments to practice computational thinking through creative programming. In her Master’s studies, she also collaborated on creating and evaluating Sunny, a chatbot that facilitates positive messages within social groups to promote wellbeing. Outside of work, she enjoys carpool karaoke, dancing along to Youtube videos, trying new restaurants around the city, and catching up with friends over tea or long walks.
Tuba (she/her) is a Content Designer and Translation Manager at Limbix. She is committed to making mental health resources available to diverse audiences. Tuba earned her MPH in Healthcare Management from Boston University and B.S. in Biology from Stony Brook University. She has experience in content development, marketing, and project management. Outside of work, Tuba enjoys learning Korean, traveling, watching K-dramas, and creating digital art.
Tyler (she/her/hers) is a Senior Content Designer at Limbix. She received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied journalism and anthropology. She's previously worked at mental health companies Mahana, Muse, Jour, and MyLife where she's written and designed app content to help people live happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. Outside of Limbix, Tyler is an athlete and teaches yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness. She's also the proud dog mom of a goldendoodle pup named Benji.
Jeffrey I. Gold received his BA at UC Santa Barbara and his PhD from The California School of Professional Psychology - Alameda. Jeffrey completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder at the Boston VAMC, and a clinical postdoctoral clinician-scientist fellowship at the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Oakland in the Departments of Psychiatry an Hematology/Oncology. For the past 20 years Jeffrey has worked at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. Jeffrey has worked with children and adolescents for over 30 years. He is the proud father of 3 amazing kids. Jeffrey loves to travel, being in nature (the beach), cooking, eating, and listening to live music.
Troy is a transformative executive and C-Suite strategist, with a record of driving multimillion-dollar growth and developing de novo channel markets. Previously a UnitedHealth Group executive for 17 years and most recently served as Chief Client Officer of OptumHealth.
